Cassia oil smells very similar Cinnamon and has some similar properties. It is often used as a more affordable alternative to Cinnamon.

Nature/Essence – Warm & Stimulating

Cassia is a skin sensitiser and irritant and is not recommended for the skin. A tiny amount (no more than 0.05%) used in a lip balm may have a plumping effect but extreme caution should be taken!

The main area of use for Cassia is the digestive system. It has traditionally been used to ease flatulence, colic, loose bowels and nausea.

Cassia’s warm spicy aroma has a stimulating effect, helpful to revive during times of fatigue or low mood.

The warm aroma of Cassia is a popular addition to home potpourri blends.
