Transform your creations with this orchid colourant. Perfect for soap, bath bombs, scrubs and cosmetics.
Mica is a group of naturally occurring mineral compounds used in cosmetics and personal care for their natural shimmering appearance. By coating the mica particles with other minerals and pigments in different ways, a vast array of colours and effects can be created.
Mica colours are popular for soap making, bath bombs, make-up and other decorative applications. However, not every colour may be suitable for every application. Be sure to review the specifications of each product before purchasing.
Usage
- Cold Process Soap - 1 - 2 tsp per 450gms of oil (disperse in a light oil)
- Melt & Pour Soap - 1/4 - 1/2 tsp per 450gms of M&P base (disperse in the fragrance or isopropyl alcohol)
- Bath Bombs - 1/4 tsp per 500gms. To help disperse Mica Colourant and prevent it from floating on the water’s surface or forming a ring around the tub, it is recommended to use Polysorbate 80 at a ratio of 2:1 (Oils to Polysorbate 80).
You can modify the usage rates to lighten or darken the hue as desired.
