Peru Balsam is used for cracked, chapped and slow-healing skin conditions including eczema, cracked heels, poorly healing wounds, and for haemorrhoid preparations. It has antiseptic and calming properties and aids healing. Use sparingly and well diluted as it can be a skin sensitiser.
As an inhalation, Peru Balsam can help open up the airways and ease bronchitis and chest congestion. It is also used for scabies, head lice and dandruff.
